Adjourned regular session
Roll Call
December 14, 1954
The City Council of the City of Newport Beach met
in adjourned regular session in the Council Chamber of the
City Hall at the hour of 4:00 p.m.
The following members of the Council being present:
Smith, Bennett, and Hill; Councilman Broering being absent.
The Clerk announced that this was the time and
Canvassing of absentee place set by law for the canvassing of the absentee votes for
ballots on Dec. 7 election. the Special Municipal Election held on December 7, 1954.
Mayor Hill appointed Councilmen Smith and Bennett
to tally the votes. The ballots were opened and the results
declared as follows:
Harry L. Blodgett: 10
William G. Perrow: 11
Stanley E. Ridderhof: 8
STATEMENT OF THE CLERK
I, C. K. PRIEST, City Clerk of the City of Newport
Clerk °s Statement Beach, in Orange County, California, do hereby certify and
declare that a special municipal election was duly and reg-
ularly held in the City of Newport Beach on December 7th,
1954, and that the result of said election so held was as
follows:
(a) That the whole number of votes cast in said
City was 2,509.
(b) That the names of the persons voted for, the
office for which they were voted, the number of votes given
in each voting precinct to each of said persons, together
with the whole number of votes which they received in the
entire city, were as follows:

On motion of Councilman Bennett, seconded by Councilman
Smith, Resolution No. 4288, being a resolution declaring the
results of the Special Municipal Election held Tuesday,
December 7th, 1954, was adopted by the following roll cAll
vote, to wit:

AYES, COUNCILMEN: Smith, Bennett, Hill.
NOES, COUNCILMEN: None
ABSENT COUNCILMEN: Broering
The City Clerk swore in Councilman Ridderhof and he was
On motion of Councilman Smith, seconded by Councilman
Bennett and carried, the application of the Cabanas Marinas
to construct ramp, floats and slips at Lots 6, 71 81 91 & 10,
Tract No. 815, was approved subject to War Department approval.
' On motion of Councilman Ridderhof, seconded by Council-
man Bennett and carried, the council adjourned, sine die.
