Dear Mayor and City Council,
I write to you today in reference to my business located at 500 W. Coast Highway, Newport Beach. I
have been operating my business in this location for over 6 years (Just FoodForpogs). During this time
there have been many automobile accidents directly in front of our building and at least one cycling vs
automobile accident and one where an automobile careened off the road and ran directly into the
building next to ours. I have personally witnessed several of these accidents and I believe the cause is
based on the short merge lane at this location. I understand that there is a new plan that will widen the
street to provide a safer traffic situation and I simply wanted to add my support to such a plan. It is my
sincere hope that you will approve and adopt the proposed project.
