It is shameful the our Fire Fighters/ First Responders, should live in such cramped & antiquated accommodations. As responsible citizens you all should see that funds are provided to make this project a reality. We have lived in Corona Del Mar since 1974. Our children grew up using the local library. We think that the process of designing a plan for a new fire station and library was a wonderful example of community and local government working together. If it is not possible to go ahead with the project at this time because the bid came in too high, we would hope that the funds allocated for the project would not be used in any other way. Those funds need to be available for the library and fire station project. Our children are 8 and 10 years old and have enjoyed going to the library since they were babies, continue to enjoy reading and use this library many times during the week. It is very important to us that the Corona del Mar Library project moves forward and is not delayed any further. Our community, its leaders, the architect and the companies who've put forth the effort to plan and design a new building in cohesion with the community's interests, should be allowed to move forward after doing their intensive due diligence. This new building will beautify our community and increase the value of our homes. Corona del Mar has many waking only senior citizens and you g families that depend upon our small library. When our children were young visiting our library was the highlight of the week. We have been residents of Corona del Mar for over 55 years and cannot imagine our small village without the library. Thank you, Doris Stoughton 3708 Ocean Blvd., Corona del Mar, Ca 92625
