Fire Station No.6 Apparatus Bay Replacement Project (C-6422)
• Existing Station was built in 1957. Various renovations over the years.
• The existing apparatus bay door opening is now too low for the
assigned Engine to pass through the doors to fit inside the building.
(9 -foot, - 3 inches existing clearance)
• Project includes the demolition of the apparatus bay and construction
of a new taller and slightly larger apparatus bay.
• Award construction contract to the lowest bidder Metro Builders &
Engineers Group for a bid of $977,868.00
• The construction duration is approximately nine months.
