Council Members O'Neill, Peotter; Duffy, Muldoon and Herdman
On August 8th, by your vote on Agenda Item # 6, you decided that the citizens of Newport Beach should not
have the option of obtaining $480,000 of State Funding for Road Repair.
My question to you gentlemen is the following:
Was this a sound and fiscally responsible action? If your principles against receiving monies from the State
generated by SB 1 are so strong, perhaps you will personally make up the lost funds to the City?
Do let the residents know how you are planning to make us whole. We are eagerly awaiting your response.
