We are truly grateful to live in a community that places such a high priority on the protection of human life and bringing criminals to justice. On behalf of the Corona del Mar Resident's Association, we greatly appreciate the efforts of the police department over the past 46 years to bring justice to Linda O'Keefe and her family. We expect to read these comments into the public record during the Study Session on February 26. Bonnie Duckworth -SE The capture of the murderer of Linda O'Keefe is a great accomplishment for all members of the Glenn Highland -SE Newport Beach Police Department (NBPD), both past and present. Bryce Mott -NW Linda Rasner-SW Joe Stapleton -NE First, the initial investigators of the case had the great foresight to obtain and preserve Elizabeth Torelli-NE important forensic material, some of which would prove to be valuable many years later, when IRVINE TERRACE scientific discoveries progressed to a sufficient level. Tom Callister HARBOR VIEW HILLS Second, we applaud the persistence of the NBPD to continue the investigation throughout the Debbie Stevens years and not give up, even when leads had run out. CORONA HIGHLANDS Michael Pilsitz Third, we congratulate the current members of the NBPD that used the most recent Irene Villalobos investigation techniques to track down Linda's killer. SHORE CLIFFS Sandie Haskell We are truly grateful to live in a community that places such a high priority on the protection of Amy Senk human life and bringing criminals to justice. The fact that the police department never gave up CAMEO HIGHLANDS on a murder of a young girl is truly admirable.
