Trustee Jumner took the chair and the roll was called showing there overe
pre -ont `Trustees- G.R..Tumper. H. :.Robinson. C.H.11ay and

Various comm,nications including bids on Street lighting; sy ton and
in Street oil Mere read and reffered to proper order of businoss.
The bo.:d of the city Treasurer Lew H. "'allace in the sum of Five thousand
dollars with the American JurPty Cc of Iiew York as Surety was presented.
and on motion of trustee I.A.Robinson seconded by trustee C.T'. -., anc;
carried wa:: accepted,::, proved and filed.
Ordinance /'97 being an oileinonce of tie City of Iiewport Beach amc:ruinL
ordinance # 52 of said CitAT,the same being an ordinance re- ulating the
use of gasoline and other engines,power launches and other power and motor
beets %vithin the City of Je.1 crt Beach; and providing; a I:enalty foe tiro
violation thoreof,by adding a new section to said ordinance.
Was read for the second time and on motion of trustee C.H.'7ay seconded
by trustee H.A.Robinson was put on final passaGe;the roll being; called
showed ;,yes-Trustees S.R. Jumper; C.H.71ay;H.A.Robinson and G.P. ":ilson.

ordinance passed.
Resolution of Intention # -- being a resolution loocingT to the improvement
of cdrtain streets in East Newport was read for the first time and on
motion of trustee C.H.'Aay,seconded by trustee H.A.Robinson and carried
was pa.,sed to second reading.
A resolution instructing the city Engineer to prepare the necessary data,
on the work to be covered by the above resolution of intention,and to
furnish same to the City j+ttorney Bishop, was adopted by the following;
vote. Aye s1 -- Trustees. S. R.Junper;H.A.Robinson; C.H.Way;and C.F.',7ilson.

a place for unloading of road oil,was referred to the 21
reported the posting of legal notices covering the work
from Bay to Central Aves,and from Linda -mss to Island.
Communication from the 'Hater Supt concerning the installation of electric
motor at Water plant was referred to the Water committee with power to
act.

86 cents to vl.06 per brl according to specific gravity.
Roadamite Paving Supply Co -from 4,'1.10 to 4,'1.20 per brl.
Union Oil Co from $1.12 to X1.17 per brl,
Associated Oil Co .88 cents to.96cents per brl F.O.B.hewport Beach.
Moved by trustee G.P.'Tilson,secondeu by trustee C.H.Way and carried;
that the bid of the Associated Oil Co of 83 cents per brl on oil to
run from 70 to 75 percent asphaltum,F.O.B.rIewport Beach be accepted.
The letter of i.J.Louis concerning the visit to the Coast of the Natio._al
Rivers and Harbors Commitee was considered and said committe was invited
to visit Newport Beach and go over the Bay as the Citys guests,on motion
of trustee H.A.Robinson,secd)nded by trustee G.P. ":ilson and carried.
Moved by trustee C.H.Nay,seconded by trustee H.A.Robinson that adjournment
be taken sine die,carried.Adjourned. :z
