The Board of Trustees of the city of Newport Beach met in adjourned
session 2.30 P.M.date and place above shown.
President Parkinson called the meeting to order and the roll use
called showing present trustees : W.K.Parkinson;S.R.Jumper;H.A.
Robinson and G.P.riilson.. Absent.trustee C:H.Way.
The minutes of the meeting; of Jany 4th were read ana approved.
Var6ous communications were read and•reffored to proper order of bus
Ordinance #lo7 being an ordinance of the city of Newport Beach
accepting• certain streets.and establishin grades thvroon;wac road
for the second time and ryas placed on final pasoago the clork being
instructed to call the roll thereon with the following- result.
Ayes: Trustees RI.K. Parkinson ;S.R.Jumper;H..�.Robinson and G.P.Wilson.
Noes: None. Abs6ht: trustee C.H.71ay. President Parkinson eoclared
ordinance #107 paosod. Thia ordinance refers to the following street
Adams,Alvarado Coronado.rornando,and T portion of Bay�Avcnue.
Resolution of Intention #45 being a resolution by the city council
of the city of Newport Beach declaring.that certain improvements are
required on the following streets; Adar .:s;Alvarado;Coronado;Fernando;
And a certain portion of Bay Avenue and ordering the samo mado,uas
read for the second time and was adopted and passed by the following
vote obtained by roll call.Ayes:'7.H. Parkinson ;S.R.Junper;H.A.Robinsoi
and G. P. 7lilson /.Idoos-Idono.Absent:truatee C.H.13ay: President Parkinsoi
declared Resolution of Intention ,§45'passod and adopted.
Ordinance #108,being an ordinance of the city of Newport.Beach
fixing the time of holding.meetings of the Board of Trustees of
said City,was read for tho second time and was placed on final
passage and the roll ordered called,resulting _ in the following vote
Ayes:'A.K. Parkinson ;S.R.Jumpor;a.A.Robinson and G.P.SJilson.Noes.None.
Absent trustoo:C.H.Vay. President Parkinson declared ordinance #108
passed.
Petitions for the improvement of the following named streets,approve
by the Street Ouptowere considored .Lindo;Fourth;Montajo;Ananda;
Island Avenue,from the Bay to Central Avenue;Bay Ave from Alvarado
to Lindo; FSrst;Thlyd;and Ninth street. Coved by trustee S.R.Jumper,
seconded by trustoe H..:..Robinson,.and.corried that the city Engineer
be,and hereby lo instrueted.to furnish to the city Attorney data in
the vay'of plane,spocifications and estimate of cost and expense
covering the eontempladed.Improvement of the above named streets,
and that.on receipt of sald.estimato that the city Attorney.draft
the necessary resolution of intention ordering the work done.
On motic:n of trustee H.A.Robinson,seconded by trustee G.P.ilson
and carried,city.attornoy C1yde.Bishop was instructed to tape up the
matter,with the Southern Pacific Company and ascertain if the
lowering of the grado leading up to the wharf can not be brought
about.
Moved by trustee H.A.Robinson,seconded by trustee G.P.7111son and
carried,that adjournment be taken sine die. Adjourned.
