The Board of Trustees of the Cityof Newport Beach met in.adjeurned
session 7.30 P.M.MondaypFeby Sthp1915.
President W.K.Parkinson Called the meeting to order and the roll was
called shorting then wore present_trustbec V.K.Parkinson;S.R.Jumper;
H.A.Robinson and G:P.Wilson.Absent trustee C.H.may.
Communication of consulting engineer Kellogg copcernirg the street.
lighting system contract.was read and referred to propor order of
business.
Unfinished business: - Ordinance i - -- being an ordinance of the city o
Newport Reach regulating the business of auto- bussoa ogorating over
the roads of the city was "read for the second tiLo.rlovod by trustee
H.A:Robinson that _aid ordinance be put on f1nal,Ilassage.1To second.
Moved by trustee G.P.Wil son that said ordinance be laid over for the
present and the subject matter inciuded in the general license
ordinance now being shaped up in hands of committee;motion seconded
by trustee S.R.Jumper and roll was called showing vote -on same as
follows.Ayes, trustees w.K.Parkinson;S.R.Jumper;and G.P.il son.Noes
H.A.Robinson.Absent trustee C.H.Way. President Parkinson declared
motion carried.
Moved by trustee S.R.Jumper,seconded by trustee G.P.Uil son and
carried that matter of extension of time and various changes in the
contract of the street lighting system be referred to a committee
to consist of consulting Engineer Kellogg and „city Attorney Bishop.
The report of the engineering firm of Leeds and Barnard in the matte
of protection of the front was offered by Vr Barnard and ream at
length.11oved by trustee S.R.Jumper seconded by trustee G.P."lilson
and carried that report be accepted and filed and that the committee
that hauthe matter in hand be discharged.
Trustee S.R.Jumper was appointed to act on finance committee and
demonds.j�'766 and!1767 were presented approved by the finance commit
loved by trustee G.P.1711son, seconded by trustee S.R_.Jumper and
carried that said demands be allowed and warrents ordered drawn.
Moved by trustee H.A.Robinson,seconded by trustee S.R.Jumper and
carried that consulting engineer Kellogg be instructed to furnish
the neccessary data. and that city Attorney Bishop proceed to draft
an ordinance establishing grades on the ocean frontpon the Bay front
and on certain portions of Bay avenue.
Gloved bj trustee S.R.Jumperpseconded by trustee H.A.Robinson and
carried that adjournment be taken to 7.30 P.M.MondaypFeby l5thp1915.
