The Board of Trustees of the city of Newport Beach met in regular
session at 7.30 P.M.in the city hall,11onday.lay 3rd,1915.
Frasident Parkinson caned the meeting to order and the roll was
called shoving there were present trustees :i7.K.Parkinson,S.R.Jumper,
H.A.Robirson,C.H.l7ay and G.P.Wilson.Absent.None.
Minutes of the meetings of April 19th and 26th,1915.vere read and
approved.
Reperts of the heads of the various departments,for the month of
April,were read and accepted and filed on motion of trustee C.H.I'Jay,
seconded by trustee G.P.4711son and carried.
Unfinished business:Letter from Mr P.T.Evans of Riverside,vith other
communications attached,regarding the cedeing of a five foot strip
to the eity,in front of the East - Newport tract,vas filed.
Insurance polity covering city employees,issued by the state Board,
was filed.
New Business:Telegram from city attorney Bishop explaining his
inability to be present was read and filed.
Bowen Brothers application for renewal og liquor license for the
ensueing year was laid over as required by ordinance.
Letter from Leeds and Barnard,Engineers,concerning matter of bulk -
heading was filed.
Letter from Steele Bros of Los Angeles,soliciting orders for piling
ah6n needed was filed.
Lottoftl from Partridge ll Jessup regarding the removal of old stub .
piling from beach near 23rd street was filed;and on motion of
trustee G.P.17ilson,seconaed by trustee H.A.Robinson and carried the
utter of taking care of said stub piling was referred to street
Committee with pcwer to act.
5emands #931 to # /0/3inclusive,approved by the finance committee
frere presented and allowed and warrants ordered drawn on motion of
trustee S.R.Jumper,seconded by trustee G.P.Wilson and carried.
Moved by trustee S.R.Jumper seconded by trustee C.H.Way,and carried,
that adjournment be taken to 7.30 P.M.Tuesda May 4th 91915.Adjourned
