City Hall,Newpprt Beach,Cal.Jany 24th,1916.
The Board of Trustees of the city of Newport Beach met in adjourned
session 7.30F.M.Monday Jany.24th,1916.in the city hall.
President Parkinson called the meeting to order and the roll was
called showing there were present.trustees N.K.Parkinson;S.R.�umper;
H.A.Robinson and G.P.Wilson.Absent. trustee C.H.Way;who however
arrived later and took part in the proceedings. -
Minutes of the meetings c•f Jany 3rd and 10th,1916;were read,correcte
and approved.
Various communications were read and referred to proper order cf
business.
Unfinished business:City Attorney Clyde Bishop reported on the legal
status.of the report of city engineer Funk concerning the P.F..right
of way from 19th street to beyond main street Balboa;advising that th
records would indicate that the public had no rights,as -to street use
over that portion of the said right of way extending,from 19th street
to the east boundry of the Fast - Newport tract;but that from there on
easterly it would seem that the city had not surrendered its rights
to maintain and use the said right of way as a thoroughfare.Report
accepted and filed.
Letter from G.L..Bugbee concerning pipe crossing lease at Fast -Newpo
laid over until next meeting.
The fire Committee reported on investigating the fire trucks offered
the city which are now at Long Beach and reccomended that same be
purchased.
Moved by trustee C.H.Way,seconded by tr ,ustee :I.A.Robinson and carried
that clerk be instructed to advertise for two motor fire trucks;the
fire committee to furnish him the data as-to equipment'desired.
Ordinance .# - -- prohibiting womwn from entering bar rooms or saloons
was read for the first time and on motion of trustee G.P.':jilson,
seconded by trustee C.H. ?lay and carried,was laid on the table.

carried that adjournment be taken to 7.30 P.M.Monday,Jany 31st,1916.
