Newport Beach, City Hall, April 24th, 1916.
The Board of Trustees of. the City of Newport Beach, met in adjourned
session 7:30 P.M. date and place above shown.
President Jumper called the meeting to order and the roll was called
shoring there were present Trustees; S. R. Jumper, Glenn Helms,
G. P. ',ilson, H. A. Robinson and J. C. I,icCain. Absent none.
The minutes of April 17th, 1916 were read and approved.
The report of the City Treasurer covering the period from July 1st,
1915 to date j.,as read and ordered filed.
Various communications were read and referred to proper order of
business.
U1IFI1?ISHED BUSINESS:
The sureties on the bond filed by the City Clerk April 17th, 1916
being desirous of having same withdr = , the Clerk presented a new
bond in the amount of x1,000.00 as required by ordinance with John
Sharps and J. J. Scrnit''Ker as sureties end requested that same be
accented as his official bond.
Lloved by G. P. ',ilson seconded by-Trustee H. Robinson and carried
that the bond of the Clerk-be approved, accepted and filed, same
replacing bond filed by the Clerk April 17th, 1916.
Moved by Trustee H. A. Robinson seconded by Trustee G. p ',7ilson and
carried, that the bill presented by Engineer H.Clay Xellcgg for
services claimcd',to have been rendered in securing data and. Prepairi
map of sewer system, be denied..
I,ioved by Trustee H. A. Robinson seconded-by Glenn Helms and carried
that the application of '..T.7ebber for the position of -City ".ngineer
be laid on th,� table.
Moved by Trustee G. P '„'ilson seconded by Trustee H. A. Robinson
and carried that S. L. Collins be retained as City Electrician for
the ensuing term. Roil was called showing Byes; Trustees; S.R.Jumper,

Land Cc asking that they build a side -walk on their _oronerty on Bay
'.venue Lot 16 Block 22.

carried that the Clerk be instructed to have printed (250) Liunicinal
Gas Distributing System Bonds.

carried that the application of Dr.A. I.I. Tweedie to cross the side -
zalk at hic residence with hie Automobile, be granted,
gloved by Trustee G. ?. '. ilson seconded by Trustee J. C. I:Ic Cain and
carried that adjournment be taken sine -die. Adjourned,
