City Ha}l, Nevrport Beach Cal.., Oct'--2nd, 1916.
The Board of Trustees of the city of rewport Beach met in reg�;lar
session 7:30 P.M. Monday October 2ndmj 1916.
President Jumper called the meeting to order and the roll was called
showing there were present, Trustees, S.R.Jumper, Glenn Helms, G. F.
" /ilson, H. A. Robinson, J.C.McCain, Absent, none.
i.1 nutes of the meeting of Sept 11th and minutes of the sr,ecial callei
meeting of September 26th, were read and approved.
Reports of the heads of the various departments for the month of Sepl
ember were read and on motion of trustee, H.A•Robinson seconded by
trustee, G.P- *Nilson and. carried were accepted and filed.
Communications were read and referred to proper order of business.
Committee on gas line to garbage pit had no report to offer but
requested further time £or investignation, same was granted.
Unfinished Business;
This being the regular meeting of the Board of
Trustees of the city of Newrort Beach, and being the first Monday aft
the 25th, day of September, 1916, the day on which the special electi
ordered called and provided for by Ordinance No. 125 was held in sail
city,, and all of the returns of said special election having been dul
made and completed, and the said returns being now filed with and in
the hands of tree Clerk of the city of Newport Beach , The Board of
Trustees of said city ordered the returns orened and proceeded to
canvass the same; the return for each precinct was canvassed serarate
as follows: -
Sepcial Election -precinct No.. 1.- the proposition voted 1
and against was " Jetty Bonds X125,000.00"
Total vote cast,- 167 votes tfft=±xx
Total vote cast "Yes" 150 votes
Total vote cast "No" 15 votes
Total votes cast "Yes" and not counted
on account of distinguishing mark ................ 1 vote
Total votes cast and not counted on account

that the total number of votes cast at the special election held at

1916, for and against the proposition submitted to -wit:- "Jett;; Bond-,
X125,000.00" was as follows:-
There were cast Jetty Bonds 4�'125,000.00
"Yes" three h ndred and ninety -one (391) votes.
there were cast "Jetty Bonds 125,000.00" "Yes" but not counted on
::.ccount of distinguishing mark, one (1) vote.
There was cast "Jetty Bonds "125,000.00" but not counted on account
of imnossibility to determine the voter's choice ore (1) vote.
There were cast "Jett-7 Bonds 8125,000.00" "No" twenty (20) votes
Total votes cast four hundred and thirtcon (413) votes.
It an-caring that more than two- thirds of the votes of all the voters
