City Hall, Newport Beach, Cal.-March 28th,1917.
The Board of Trustees of the city of Newport each met in adjourned
session 7:30 P.M.wednesday, March 28, 1917,
President Jumner called the meeting to order and the roll-was called
showing there were present trustees, S.R.Jumper, Glenn Helms, G.P.
Wilson, H.A.Robinson, J.C.McCain, Absent, None,
Reading MiACLOes; The minutes of the meeting of March 26th, 1917 were
ME and approved.
The regular order of business was then dispensed with to Unfinished
business.
UNFINISHED BUSIESS;
Resolution of Intention No. 73, entitled as
follows:- A. Resolution of the city council of the city of Newport
Beach declaring that the public interest and also the public conven-
ience requires an improvement to be made within the bounds of such
city, declaring its intention to order the improvement to be made,
describing the improvement, the land deemed necessary to be taken
therefor, specifying the exterior boundaries of the district of lands
to be affected or benefited by said improvement and to be assessed tc
pay the damages, cost and expenses thereof -, directing the giving of
notice, and designating the newspaper in which notice shall be publi-
shed.
having been placed in due and proper form for passage and adop-
tion by the Board of Trustees was read, discussed and fully conside-
red, and on motion of trustee H.A.Robinson, seconded by trustee G.P.
Wilson, the roll was called on the passage of said Resolution of
Intention No. 73, resulting as follows:'
Ayes, Trustees, S.R.Jumper, Glenn Helms, G.P.i7ilson, H.A.
Robinson, J.C.IalcCain. Noes, Trustees None Absent, Trustees None.
S.R.Jumper, President of the Board of Trustees, thereupon
declared Resolution of Intention No. 73 passed, signed and approved
the same.
The clerk was instructed to notify the chairman of the board of
Supervisors, and the chairman of the county harbor commission, that
a committee of the whale would meet with them at their pleasure
for a conference relative to a change of the channel of the Santa
Ana river.
