City Hall, Newport Beach, Calif., May 8,1917, 7:30 p.m.
Special :.:eeting of the Board of Trusteps.was called to order at
above named place and date,Pres.Jumpe�r in the chair.
Roll Call. On calling the roll the following responded present:
Trustees Jumper,Helms,Filson,Robinson and McCain. Absent, None.
Reading of Call. The call was read and the Board proceeded to the
order of business embodied in the call,viz: the consideration of
the offer of Joseph Ferguson to sell to the city 12 82100 acres
of land for the sum of $11,538.00 After much discussion by the
Board and citizens present an informal rising vote was taken which,
with only one dissenting vote from the audience,approved the accept
ante of'Mr.Ferguson's offer.
Trustee Robinson takes chair. Moved by Trustee Wilson,seconded by
Trustee McCain and carried unanimously that Trustee Robinson take
the Chair.
City Attorney instructed to draw contrcct..
Moved by Trustee 'lilson,seconded by Trustee Helms and carried that
the City Attorney be instructed to draw up contract in compliance
with the offer of Joseph Ferguson for execution by the City of
Newport Beach and Joseph Ferguson.
Moved by Trustee .Vilson,seconded by Trustee TvTcCain and carried that
the advertisement for bids for construction of the jetty be proceee
ed with and that the Clerk notify the Net.port News.
Adjournment.
Moved by Trustee McCain,seconded by Trustee Helms and carried that
the Board adjourn to 7:30 p.m.,May 21,1917.
