City Hall, Newport Beach, Calif., June 8,1917,
Adjourned meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of Newpok
Beach met at 7:30 p.m. at the place and on the date above mentioned,
President H.A.Robinson in the chair.
Roll Calla
On calling the roll the following Trustees responded "Present ":
H.A.Robinson,.J.J.Schnitker, Geo.P.Wilson, J.C.Mc Cain and J.P.G
Greeley.
Reding of Communications.
Communications were read and referred to the proper order of
business.
Unfinished. Business.
Engineer Barnard reported thatIhe had been unable as yet to re-
ceive definite reply from the Southern Pacific Co. regarding
reduction of freight rate on `rock for the jetty,and advised the
postponement of consideration of the bids for the construction
of the jetty until Saturday,at which time he expected to have
full information from the Railroad Co.

Letter of the Southern Counties Gas Co.
Permit of the. Southern Counties Gas Co.to furnish gas to the
Glass company was ordered filed with the original contract and
-the Clerk instructed to acknowledge its receipt. Moved by
Trustee J.J.Schnitker,seconded by Trustee Geo.P.Wilson and
carried.
Letter of A.B.l']atson asking the Board to reduce license on Crorm
Stages was laid over till June 11th.
Lcttcr prom Southern Californiz Edison Co.regarding transfer to
them of franchise of the Pacific Light & Povr,er Corporation was
laid over till June llth.
Letter of J.A.Turner of Santa Ana regarding tearing up of cement
sidewalk.in front of certain property on the ocean front in
Block 30 was laid over till June 11th.

It was moved by Trustee Greeley,seconded by Trustee P.ZcCain
carried that the Board adjourn to 2 :15 p.m.,,June 9,1917.
