A called meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of Newp
Beach was held at the hour and at the place above noted.
In the absence of Chairman "J.P.Greeiey,it was moved by Trustee
L.S.Wilkinson,seconded by Trustee Geo.P.Wilson and carried that
Trustee J.J.Schnitker act as Chairman.
The roll was called and the following Trustees were present:
J. J. Schnitker ,,Geo.P.Wilson,J.C.MeCain and L.S.Wilkinson.
Absent,J.P.Greeley.
The call was read and the Board proceeded to the business embodied
in the call,viz: The consideration of sending a delegate to Washington,
D.C. to represent the city before the Board of Army Engineers for

It was moved by Trusteee "L.S.Wilkinson,seconded by Trustee J.C.MeCain
and carried that'Lew H.Wallace be appointed the representative of thel
City at Washington,D.C.; that he be authorised to make arrangement as
to date,and that the Board of Supervisors be asked to assist in the
matter of the expense account.
By motion made by Trustee L.S.Wilkinson,seconded by Trustee
Geo.P.Wilson and carried,the =Clerk was authorized to draw a warrant
for not to exceed $600.to be charged to the promotion fund for the
purpose of paying expenses of the delegate to Washington.
It was moved by Trustee Geo.P.Wilson,seconded by Trustee J.C.MeCain
and carried,that the Board adjourn sine die. '
