City Hall,Newport Beach,Calif.,July 12,1918,8:30 p
A Special Meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of Newpor
Beach was held at the hour and place above noted. The roll was called
and the following Trustees answered present: Trustees J.P.Greeley,
J. J. Schnitker ,Geo.P.Wilson,J.C.MCCain and L.S.Clilkinson.. Absent,None.
The call was read and the Board proceeded to the business embodi d
in the call,viz: the consideration of installation of gas and electri -
ity on Newport Heights,a Resolution for hearing July 18th before Col.
W.H.Heuer,and the matter of a dredging contract in conjunction with a
shipbuilding plant.
In the matter of the dredging contract it was moved by Trustee
J.J.Schnitker,seconded by Trustee J.C.McCain and carried that the
drawing of said contract be referred to the City Attorney.
With reference to the extension of gas and electricity on Newpor
Heights Chairman J.P.Greeley appointed the Gas and Mater Committee as
committee on same with power to act,
In the matter of the Resolution to be presented at the hear
before Col.PI.H.Heuer,Chairman J.P.Greeley appointed Trustee L.S.
son and Lew H.Wallace as committee to draft said Resolution.
Adjournment was taken by motion of Trustee J.J.Schnitker,seconde
by Trustee J.C.MeCain and duly cried. ---4�

A Special Meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of Newpor-
Beach was held at the place and hour above mentioned. The roll was
called and the following Trustees were found to be present: Trustees
J.P. Greeley ,J.J.Schnitker,J.C.P.IcCain and L.S.wilkinson; Absent,Trustel
Geo.P.Wilson.
The Call was read and the Board proceeded to the business as,sta-
therein,viz: a certain dredging contract and the Resolution for the
hearing before'Col.".H.Heuer at Santa Ana,July 18th.

In the matter of the dredging contract it was moved by Trustee.
J.C.McCain,seconded by Trustee J.J.Schnitker and carried,that the 10%
to be retained each month,as stated in the contract,be in lieu of a
faithful performance bond.

It was moved by Trustee J.J.Schnitker seconded by Trustee J.C.
McCain and carried that the President and 6lerk be authorized to exe-
cute a contract with the Pope Shipbuilding Corporation when same was
drawn satisfactory to the City Attorney,
The Resolution for the Hearing before Col.Heuer was presented by
Trustee L.S.Wilkinson and was adopted by motion made by Trustee J.J.
Schnitker,,seconded ' by Trustee J.C_McCain and duly carried.
Adjournment was taken by motion of Trustee L.S.1'lilkinson,seconde
