It was moved by Trustee L.S.Wilkinson,seconded by Trustee Geo.P. Wilson and carried that the demands be allowed and warrants ordered drawn to cover, By motion of Trustee J.C.Mcoain,seconded by Trustee Geo.P.YJilson and carried,the Board adjourned to 7:30 P,M. The Board o-P Trustees of the City of Newport Beach met in I session on the hour and at the place as above designated. The roll wa called and all the Trustees were present as follows: Trustees J.P.Gre - ley, J. J. Schnitke .r,Geo.P.Wiledn,J.G.McCain and L.S.Wilkinson, The minutes of May 5th were read and approved as read, The report of the Street Committee and the City Engineer on the proposed Fishermen's Wharf,and the report of the City Engineer on the proposed public landings,were read. n The communications were read and referred to the proper order business. The communication of the World Trade Club regarding the adoption in The United States and Great Britain of the meter- liter -gram was di cussed,and the suggestion in said communication of sending the endors ment of the Board,of the meter - liter -gram to Their Excellencies Woodrow Wilson and David Lloyd George,was adopted by motion of Truste L.S.Wilkinson,seconded by Trustee J.J.Sehnitker and duly carried, It was moved by Trustee L.S.Wilkinson,seconded by Trustee Geo.P. Wilson and carried that the report of the City Engineer regarding put lie landings be accepted and filed and that steps be taken to build c boat landing at 19th St.in conformity with the recommendation of the City Engineer, By motion of Trustee J.C.MeCain,seconded by Trustee Geo.P,Wilson duly carried,the matter of dredging near the foot of Agate St. boa Island,wa referred to the City Engineer. The report of the Street Committe and the City Engineer on the rmen's Wharf was filed. The application of M.E.Baumeister for permit to conduct a resta on the SW.30 feet of Lots 1,2 and 3,Block 12,Balboa Tract was ted by motion of Trustee J.C,McCain,seconded by Trustee Geo.P.Wi carried. The letter from Lieut.H.E.Carse,of the Submarine Base,San Pedro, ' iasking information concerning Terminal facilities in Newport Bay,was referred to J.A.Armitage and City Engineer Paul F.Kressly for reply, In re the petition for the completion of the improvement of Bay Ave.from 23rd to 30th Sts,it was moved by Trustee L.S.Wilkinson,seconi 'pd by Trustee J.J.Schnitker and carried that the Street Superintenden- be instructed to continue the filling of Bay Ave.to 3oth St. It was moved by Trustee J.J.Schnitker,seconded by Trustee J.C. Cain and carried that the City proceed to vacate a certain portion V Ave. being on the northerly side and opposite the northerly end o press St. It was moved by Trustee J.J.Schnitker,seconded by Trustee o.P.Wilson and carried that the matter of vacating said portion of y Ave.be placed in the hands of the City Engineer to start proceed; 312 It -was moved by Trustee J.J.Schnitker,seconded by Trustee J.C.M and duly carried that the City Engineer be instructed to start proee ings to pave Coast Boulevard from the Southern Pacific Wharf to the westerly city limits. It was moved by Trustee J.J.Schnitker,seconded by Trustee L.S. Wilkinson and carried that the City Engineer start proceedings to pa 28th.,30th.,and 31st.Streets from Central Ave. to the Channel. Ordinance No.151 was presented and passed to second reading by motion I of Trustee L.S.YVilkinson,seconded by Trustee Geo.P.Wilson and carried. Ordinance No.152 was presented and passed to second reading by of Trustee J.J.Schnitker,seconded by Trustee J.C.MeCain and carried. ORDINANCE N0.1500. Ordinance No.150 was presented for final passage. It was moved Trustee L.S.Wilkinson and seconded by Trustee Geo.P.Wilson that said Ordinance No.15e,be adopted. The roll was called and the following _ Trustee voted "Aye ": Trustees J.P. Greeley ,J.J.Schnitker,Geo.P.Wilson J.C.McCain and L ;S.Wilkinson. Noes,none; absent,none. By Motion of Trustee J.J.Schnitker,seconded by Trustee Geo.P.Wil' and duly carried,the Clerk was instructed to send a letter to Mrs.Ell Simberg thanking her for the work put upon the Service Flag. The Board adjourned sine die by motion ,of Trustee J.J.Schnitker, seconded by Trustee L.S.Wilkinson and duly oarriesl._ City Clerk. L.
