The Board of Trustees,of the City of Newport Beach, met ,\adj
at 2 :00p.M: August 6th. In the absence of the Chairman, it ^Pa
moved by Trustee L. S. Wilkinson, seconded by Trustee A.L:Heard,
and carried „ that Trustee,J. J. Schnitker act as chairman.

The roll was called, showing there were present, Trustees
J. J. Schnitker, Art L. Heard-, Z. S. Wilkinson, Absent, Trustees
J.-P. Greeley, and J. C. McCain.
On recommendation of City Engineer Paul E. Bressly, Resol-
lation No. 117, awarding the contract for the paving -of 28th,
Nth; 'and 31st Streets, to Rodger Bros. Company, etas adoptod

Heard, by the following vote to -wit:

Resolution No. 118. Resolution No. 118, awarding con-
tract for dirt surfacing cbrtain.portions of the alley, situated
between Central Avenu& nd Surf Avenue, within the City of
Newport B aO;Matl dop ed on motion of Trustee L. S. Wilkinson,
seconded by Trustee A. L. Heard, by the following vote:
(Ayes, Trustees, J. J. ?sohnitker, L. S. Wilkinson, A. L. Heard,
(Noes, None, Absent, J: F. Greeley, J. C. McCain.
New Business : -
Trustee Wilkinson called attention to the fact that there
were no lights at the corner of 15th and Central, or in•the toilt
at 15th Street , and made the motion, seconded by Trustee•A.'L.
Heard and carried, that City Eleetricia.n be instructed to instill
lights at these points.
On motion of Trustee L. S. Wilkinson, seconded by Trustee
A. L. Heard, and carried-, adjournment was taken until 9:30 A.M.
