HomeMy WebLinkAbout10-25-1920 - Special MeetingCNZA ..401 City Hall, Newport Beach, Oct. 25, 1920. The Board of Trustees of the City of Newport Beach met in special session at the hour of 7:30 P. M. at the place and date above mentioned. The Clerk read the call of the special meeting which was in words and figures, to -wit: I, the undersigned, President of the Board of Trustees of the City of Newport Beach, hereby call a special meeting of said Board ' to be held at the City Hall in the City of Newport Beach at the hour of-7:30 o'clock P. M. of Monday, October 25, 1920, for the following purposes: (1st) To consider the passage and adoption of a Resolution for the sale •of the municipal bonds of the City of Newport Beach in the sum of $50,000.00, authorized at the special election held on the 30th day of August, 1920, at private sale. (2d) To receive, consider and reject or accept any bid or bid for the said bonds which may be presented or filed, and if a bid be accepted to award the bonds to a purchaser-. I, the undersigned, a member of the Board of Trustees of the City of Newport Beach, hereby acknowledge service upon me of a copy of the foregoing notice of special meeting this 23d day of October, 1920. J. P. GREELE Y, J. J. SCHNITSER, GEO. P. WILSON, CONRAD RICHTER, ' L. S. WILKINSON. The meeting was called to order by J: P. Greeley, President of the Board of Trustees and the roll was called and the entire membership of the Board of Trustees were present. The President stated that the first matter of business mentioned in the call was in order and Trustee J. J. Schnitker introduced Resolution No. 137. The Resolution was read, considered and ordered filed, and on motion of Trustee L. S. Wilkinson seconded by Trustee Geo. P. Wilson, the ro roll was called and Resolution No. 137 was passed by the votes of the following named members of the Board of Trustees, to -wit: J. P. Greeley, J. J. Schnitker, Geo. P. Wilson. Conrad Richter, L. S. Wilkinson. The same was signed and approved by the President of the Board of Trustees and attested by the Clerk. The bid of FRANK & LEWIS for the above mentioned bonds at par, accrued interest at the date of delivery, and $1.00 premium was received, and on motion of Geo. P. Wilson seconded by Trustee J. J. Schnitker and carried, the bid was accepted and the bonds awarded to Frank & Lewis. No further business the meeting adjourned. P nt Board o rustees. ' ATTEST: City Clerk. (C� �4j
