City Hall, Newport Beach, Sept. 1, 1924
The Board of Trustees of the city of Negport Beach, met in
regular session on the above date.
President Wilson being absent, the meeting was called to order
:.by Trustee Conrad Richter. On motion of trustee Wilkinson, seconded by
trustee Wilkinson and carried, Conrad Richter was elected temporary chairman.
ORDINANCE #261, An ordinance of the Board of Trustees of the
City of Newport Beach, declaring vacant for Public Street purposes a
certain portion of Coast Boulevard, within said city, was taken up for
final cor_sideration and on motion of trustee Sloan, seconded by trustee
Wilkinson and carried,, the above described ORDINANCE #261 was passed by the
following vote:
Ayes: Trustees, Richter Sloan and Wilkinson
Noes: Trustees, None.
Absent Trustees Young and Wilson.
RESOLUTION #295, A Resolution-of the Board of trustees of the
City of Newport Beach confirming the assessment for the improvement
of Ocean Boulevard and certain other streets, avenues and alleys in tract
#518; within said city was read and on Motion of Trustee Wilkinson, se-
conded by Trustee Sloan and carried, was passed by the follooing vote:
Ayes: Trustees Richter Sloan and Wilkinson
Noes: Trustees, None.

ORDINANCE #263, An ordinance of the Board of Trustees of the
city of Newport Beach, re- locating and establishing the curb lines of
Central Avenue, Sapphire Avenue,Park Avenue, Emerald Avenue, Ruby Avenue,
Diamond Avenue, Coral Avenue, Apolena Avenue, Amethyst Aveneu, Onyx Avenue,
and Marine Avenue, within said city was introduced by Trustee Sloan and
to the second reading.
On Motion of trustee Sloan, seconded by trustee Wilkinson and
carried, the demands were allowed and warrants ordered drawn.
' On Motion of Trustee Wilkinson, seconded by trustee Sloan and
carried, the tax rate as set by the Board of Equalization for 1924 -25 was
adopted by the following vote:
Ayes: Trustees Richter, Sloan and Wilkinson.
Noes: Trustees, None,
Absent: Trustees Young and Wilson.
There being no further business. on motion of Trustee Sloan
seconded by trustee Wilkinson, and duly carried, the meeting was
adjourned to 7;30 P.M. September 8, 1924.
