The roll :gas called,showing Trustee Conrad Richter absent on leave and Trustee did not answer but came in later. This being the hour set for the opening^ of rids on City printing, the Clerk nreceeded to open said bids, The nem)ort Ha7,bor pub- lishing Conpany and the Balboa Bulletin being the only bidders. There being some .uestion Hf the legality of one of the bids, piainly that of the Balboa Bulletin, all bids were referred to city* Attorney Bishop for consideration. A communication from the Banks Huntley and Co. inquiring as to t'le issuance of 42350,000.00 crater �onds was referred to the City Clerk, ' , A corn unication from the Casa: Stone Products Co. was referred to c.le pity `dater Superintendent. Request to build r pier on Lot 1 Block 21 of Balboa Tract East Side Addition, Ben Cope Contractor, was referred to City* Engincer I_ressl-; for two creeks. Advertising 1Tanager Harry - Uelch, submitted to the Boar(I, the p,onosition of leasing 100 feet of city property along; the Bay F =-ont to tie Southern Branch of the University of California,if that school located at Fullerton.
