HomeMy WebLinkAbout06-30-1925 - Special Meeting264 A communication was received from Iv1r J.A.Pritzer of Placentia regarding the overloading of boats going to and from the Fishing Barge. - The matter was referred to Trustee Richter and the communication was ordered returned to Mr Harry CJelch, to whom the communication was addressed. A communication from Balboa Cleaner,I:r Grebe regarding a raise in . the present License for Cleaners was laid over and referred to the City Attorney. , A communication was received from i',Ir Geo.Heiner requesting a 3 year lease on the Newport Pier for his Bait Concession. The matter was laid over for consideration. ' A complaint was received from Lew Wallace about the alledged removal of dirt along Tract ;4444. The communication was referred to the Street Superintendent with instructions to post signs prohibiting the removal of Dirt along Smeltzer Ave., There being no further business, on motion of Trustee Young,seconded by Trustee Sloan and carried, the meeting was adjourned SINE DIE. President of a Boa=df Trustees, Approved Oj, Attest C arc , City Hall - Newport Beach, ' June 30th, 1925 Pursuant to a call thereof by'the President of the Board of Trustees and notice delivered to each member of the Board at least three hours before the time specified for the meeting, the Board of Trustees met at the place and on the date above mentioned at 7:30 o1clock P.11. The meeting was called to order by President Geo.P.Wilson.' The Roll was called showing the full Board thereof. The Call was read and the Board proceeded to consider the subject for which the meeting was called. Requests were received from R.J.Shafferif.(odger Brothers and an association of Dr.Chas.Irvin,I+Ir Shafer and R.B.Goff for the landing priviledge on the'Balbda Pier. The matter was discussed and on motion ' of Trustee Wilkinson,seconded by Trustee Sloan and carried, the City, Clerk was ordered to advertise for sealed bids to be opened July 6th,1�e 5 at 7 :30 o'clock P.M.for a landing concession on the Balboa Pier. Said landing to be constructed according to the plans and specifications on file at the office of the City Clerk. Bids will be considered from the, standpoint df the best proposition submitted, class of Barge, safety . , measures prdvided,.amiunt of revenue to be paid to,the City of Newport and general reliability of the persons applying for the concession,will be taken into consideration. The Board of Trustees of said city reserve the right to reject any and all bids, There being no .further business on motion of Trustee Vilkinson, seconded by Trustee Sloan and carried, the meeting was adjourned SINE DIE.
