HomeMy WebLinkAbout06/10/1935 - Adjourned Regular MeetingIra Newport Beach, June 10, 1935• The City Council of the City of Newport Beach met in regular adjourned session in the City Council Chambers of the City of Newport Beach at 7:30 p. m. on above date, with Mayor Hilmer presiding. The roll was called showing the full Council present. REPORTS OF SPECIAL COMMITTEES None. City Engineer Patterson reporting on the filling with dredged material a portion of Tract 756-at N Street, advised that inasmuch as the San Francisco Bridge Company had removed their outlet pipe from that vicinity it would not be possible to fill the area, and on motion of Councilman Ellsworth, seconded by Councilman Gordon and carried, the City Engineer was instructed -to -inform those requesting the fill of the fact. COMMUNICATIONS None. UNFINISHED BUSINESS Ordinance No. 435 was brought up for final passage, being an ordinance declaring it unlawful from and after January 1, 1936 to engage in the operation of certain games whereby the player of such receives merchandise or anything representative of value, all as more particularly described in said ordinance. The motion for the adoption of the ordinance was made by Councilman Gordon, duly seconded by Councilman Ellsworth and passed by the following roll call vote, to -wit: AYES: Councilmen. Gordon, Claire, Ellsworth, Garfield, Hilmer. NOES:-Councilmen None. ABSENT: Councilmen None.
