Newport Beach, September 17, 1936.
The City Council of the City of Newport Beach met in adjourned
regular session in the city Council Chambers of the City of Newport
Beach at 1:00 o'clock P. M. on above date, with Mayor Williamson
presiding.
The roll was called showing the full Council present with
the exception of Councilman Whitson who was absent.
City Engineer Patterson reporting on the Balboa Island Seawall
matter advised the Council that no information regarding same had been
received from the PWA authorities in Washington in relation to the bids
submitted for the construction of the seawall. Whereupon it was moved
by Councilman Gordon, seconded by Councilman .Garfield and carried, that
a recess be taken to 4:00 .o'clock P. M. this date.
Mayor Williamson called the meeting to order at 4:00 o'clock
P. M. and upon advice of the City Engineer that the expected information
from Washington in connection with the Balboa Island Seawall project
had not been received and there being no other business to come before
the Council, it was moved by Councilman Claire, seconded by Councilman
Gordon and carried, that an adjonment be taken to 1:00 o'clock P.M.
