The City Council of the City of Newport Beach met in Special Ses -lion
in the City Council Chambers, at the City Hall, in the City of Newport Beach
on the above date with Mayor Hall presiding. On motion of Councilman Reed,
seconded by Councilman Isbell, Councilman Alleh was appointed Clerk, pro tem.
The Roll was called, the following Councilmen answering present:

Allen, Reed, Isbell, Stanley, Hall. Absent, Councilmen: None.
The Call for the Special Meeting was read by the Clerk, pro tem, the
Call for Meeting
purposes set in the Call for the meeting being as follows:
"(a) For the purpose of considering the project for the creation

u(b) For the purpose of requesting the Board of Supervisors of

Orange County to approve said project."
In presenting the project to the City Council, Councilmai Stanley
advised that before the County Planning Commission could present the project
to the Board of Supervisors, it must be approved by the City Council of
New Beach. Therefore, a resolution was drawn, being a resolution
regarding the acquisition of certain Beach property in Corona del Mar for
use as a public beach park, and named Resolution No. 3100,
Councilmen Allen, Reed and Isbell stated that they were in favor of
the project, but that their final approval would depend upon the terms of any
agreement and the cost to the City of Newport Beach.
After some discussion, Councilman Allen moved that Resolution

No. 3100 be adopted, the motion was duly seconded by Councilman Stanley and _
carried by the following roll call vote:
AYES, COUNCILMEN: Allen, Reed, Isbell, Stanley, Hall.
NOES, COUNCILMEN: None.
ABSENT, COUNCILMEN: None.
