V The roll was called, the following Councilmen answering present: ' Greeley, Robertson, Blue, Isbell and Drake. The Mayor asked if any of the Councilmen, or anyone in the audience wished the minutes of the previous meeting, or any part thereof, read. No one responded so the Mayor ordered the reading of the minutes dispensed with. Monthly Demands approved. On motion of Councilman Robertson, seconded by Oouncilman Greeley, the demands for the previous month, having been approved by the , Finance Committee and by the Mayor and City Clerk, were approved and carried by the following vote, to -wit: AYES, COUNCILMEN: Greeley, Robertson, Blue, Isbell and Drake NOES, COUNCILMEN: None ABSENT COUNCILMEN: None REPORTS OF HEADS OF DEPARTMENTS Monthly Renorts filed. The Monthly Report of Receipts and Disbursements and the Reports of Heads of Departments were presented by the City Clerk, and upon motion of Councilman Robertson, seconded by .Councilman Greeley and carried, they were ordered filed. City Attorney Dennison then presented Ordinance No. 557, entitled, Ordinance No. 557, Industrial Waste Ordi- AN ORDINANCE REGULATING USE OF PUBLIC SEWERS AND DISPOSITION OF nance, reading waived. INDUSTRIAL AND OTHER WASTES, AND PROVIDING FOR INDUSTRIAL WASTE PERMITS. City Clerk Presented 4 mEps The City Clerk then presented four maps of Tract No. 1237, known as of Tract 1237,Corona High- Corona Highlands, to the City Council. lands. Councilman Robertson asked the City Attorney whether or not the Council could offer an amendment to Ordinance No. 529 amending zoning ordinance and presented at the last meeting if they desired to change the map attached to the Ordinance, and City Attorney Dennison reported that the proceedure was in order if they so desired. "r.Copelin, Sec.Plan.Comm., Secretary of the Planning Commission, Roy Copelin, speaking stated new map carried from the floor, examined a map wnich was presented to him by Council- approval of Plan.Comm. and man Robertson, and stated that this map was the original map as approved ' Plan. Consultants. by the Planning Commission and the Planning Consultants with the excep- tion that this map provides only a one foot non - access strip instead of a twenty foot non - access strip, but in the opinion of the Planning Commission the one foot non- access strip would serve the purpose. The map was then identified by Councilman Robertson as the map covering the proposed zoning of the tract. Mayor Drake called for comments from the floor and Mr. L. R. Appleton of 411 Poppy Avenue requested the zoning designation of certain lots as they appeared on the map so identified, which information was given to him. Amendment to Section 4 of Councilman Robertson moved the adoption of an amendment to Ordinance No. 589 adopted. Section 4 of Ordinance 589, being an amendment reading as follows: SECTION 4. The land and lots, as delineated and platted on said map, are hereby zoned as follows, to -wit: Zone R -1: Lots 47 to 60 inclusive Lots 65 to 189 inclusive Zone R -2: Lots 4 to 46 inclusive Lots 61 to 64 inclusive Lot 190 Zone R -3: Lots 1, 2 and 3. Mr. Sheppard and Mr. Mack spoke from the floor requesting that Mr. Sheppard & Mr. Mack the Harbor Committee reconsider this application, in view of the fact requested application be that this particular part of the beach was not used much for swimming, referred backln Harbor and was littered with refuse from picknicers and swimmers. The City Engineer presented the application of Mr. W. H. Mr. W. H.
