The City Council of the City of Newport Beach met in adjourned session in the council chambers of the City Hall at the hour of 7:30 P.M. The roll was called, the following councilmen answering present: Greeley, Robertson, Isbell, Blue, Drake. The Mayor asked if any of the councilman or anyone in the aud- ience wished the minutes of the previous meeting or any part thereof read. No one responded, and the reading of the minutes was waived. The election demands, having been approved by the Finance Com- mittee and signed by the Mayor and City Clerk, were ordered paid on motion of Councilman Robertson, seconded by Councilman Greeley and carried by the following roll -call vote: AYES, COUNCILMEN: Greeley, Robertson, Isbell, Blue, Drake. NOES, COUNCILMEN: None ABSENT COUNCILMEN: None The Mayor stated that this was the time and place set by law for Results of the purpose of canvassing the vote of the April 11th election, and the canvass election was conducted by the City Clerk and the Special Legal Counsel. Resolution No. 3787, being a Resolution declaring the results of Election, held in the City of Newport Beach on the 11th day of April 1950, as required by law, was presented, and on motion of Councilman Ro- RES. 90.3787 bertson, seconded by Councilman Greeley, the resolution was adopted by the ELECTION RESULTS following roll -call vote: AYES, COUNCILMEN: Greeley, Robertson, Isbell, Blue, Drake NOES, COUNCILMEN: None ABSENT COUNCILMEN: None STATEMENT OF CITY CLERK. PRIEST, do hereby certify and declare that a municipal election was duly and regularly held in the City of Newport Beach on April 11th, 1950, and that the result of said election so held was as follows: (a) That the whole number of votes cast in said City was 3313. Isbell received, for the office of City Councilman, the grand total of 1535 votes; that 0. Z. Robertson received, for the office of City Councilman the grand total of 1241 votes; that Robert V. Faust received, for the office of City Council- man, the grand total of 102 votes; that Braden L. Finch received, for the office of City Councilman, the grand total of 1351 votes; that Francis J. Horvath received, for the office of City Councilman the grand total of 801 votes; that Norman Miller received, for the office of City Councilman, the grand total of 345 votes; that Thomas F. (Tom) Norton received, for the office of City Councilman, the grand total of 1007 votes. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That at said general municipal election LESTER L. ISBELL was elected to the office of City Councilman of the City of Newport Beach for the full term of four years. That BRADEN L. FINCH was elected to the office of City Councilman of the City of Newport Beach for the full term of four years. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution No. 3878 was duly and regularly passed by the city Council of the City of Newport Beach at an adjourned regular meeting thereof held on the 18th day of April, 1950, by the following vote, to -wit: AYES, COUNCILMEN: Greeley, Robertson, Isbell, Bluc, Drake NOES, COUNCILMEN: None ABSENT COUNCILMEN: None. L. Isbell had been re- elected, and that Braden L. Finch had been elected as councilmen for the full term of four years.
