The City Council of the City of Newport Beach met Regular adjourned
in regular adjourned session at 11:00 a.m. in the City Council meeting
'
Chambers of the City Hall, Newport Beach, California.
The roll was called, Councilmen Smith, Isbell, Roll Call
Bennett, and Mayor Miller being present. Councilman Finch
absent.
On, motion of Councilman Isbell, seconded by Council Minutes approved
man Smith and carried, reading of minutes of the previous meeting
was waived and they were declared approved as written.
On motion of Councilman Isbell, seconded by Council-
man Bennett, the regular monthly demands were approved and Monthly demands
ordered paid by the following roll call vote, to -wit: approved
AYES, COUNCILMEN: Isbell, Bennett, and Miller.
NOES, COUNCILMAN: Smith
ABSENT, COUNCILMAN: Finch
Councilman Isbell moved that a petition be prepared Petetion to be pre -

Mayor Miller appointed Attorney Robert Hurwitz to Robert Hurwitz appoint
the Library Board to fill the vacancy created by the resignation ed to Library Board
of Rexford Brandt. The appointment was confirmed on motion of
Councilman Smith, seconded by Councilman Bennett and carried.
On motion of Councilman Isbell, seconded by Council-
man Bennett and carried, the meeting was adjourned, sine die. Adjournment.
