The roll was called, the following members answering Roll Call present: Broering, Smith, Miller, Bennett, and Hill. On motion of Councilman Miller, seconded by Councilman Bennett and carried, the reading of the minutes of the pre - vious meeting was waived and they were declared approved as Minutes approved written. The regular monthly demands, having been approved by the Finance Committee, were ordered paid on motion of Councilman Demands approved Bennett, seconded by Councilman Miller and carried by the fol- lowing roll call vote, to wit: AYES, COUNCILMEN: Broering, Smith, Miller, Bennett, Hill. NOES, COUNCILMEP;: None ABSENT COUNCILMEN: None On motion of Councilman Miller, seconded by Councilman Bennett and carried, the regular order of business was waived Order of business waived for the purpose of holding hearings. • The Mayor stated that this was the time and place set for hearing on tr.e appeal of Seasport Landing, Inc., from the Harbor Hearing on Bait Barge Master's revocation of permit for the bait barge, "Iwo Jima ". Attorney Max Hurwitz, representing Seasport Landing Inc., spoke from the floor in appeal from the revocation of the permit. ' After general aiscussion it was brought out tnat the present mooring of the barge had inadvertently been established some 150 yards inshore from the allocated mooring. " resumed The City Clerk reported that this was the time and place set for a hearing on the appeal of Gordon Wm. Grundy from the Planning Hearing on Grundy Commission's denial of use Permit Application No. 143 being an appeal from denial ' application for permit to construct a nine unit apartment building of Use Permit with garages on Lots 1090 & 1091 in Tract No. 907. 1090/1091//907 The report of the Planning Commission supplementing its denial of the Use Permit was read. Mayor Hill declared the hearing openand Attorney Donald Harwood spoke from the floor in behalf of the applicant. Several residents of Lido Isle urged that the permit be denied, and on motion of Councilman Ben- nett the application was ordered referred back to the Planning Commission; however, the motion died for lack of a second. . On motion of Councilman Smith, seconded by Councilman Broering, the Council concurred with the Planning Commissioh in denying the permit, by the following roll call vote, to wit: AYES, COUNCILMEN: Broering, Smith, Miller, Hill, NOES, COUNCILMEN: Bennett ABSENT COUNCILMEN: None W The City Clerk reported that this was the time and place set for hearing on the proposed annexation of certain Hearing on annexation uninhabited territory known as "Cooper Annex ". On motion of Councilman Bennett, seconded by Councilman Broering and carried, the regular order of business was resumed pending the distribution of copies of the budget to citizens present.
