Mayor Hill calls special
meeting for proposed The City Council of the City of Newport Beach met in the Council Chamber
emergency Ord. on of the City Hall at the hour of 2:00 P.M., at the call of Mayor Hill for the
speed in Harbor. purpose of introducing a proposed emergency ordinance in regards to speed
regulations in the Harbor.
Consent & Waiver of Consent and Waiver of Notice having been signed by all Councilmeh and now
Notice signed and on file in the City Clerk's office, Mayor Hill called the meeting to order.

C. Atty, reads proposedThe City Attorney read the proposed ordinance and Mayor Hill asked for a

Recess called.for Hill asked for a recess for further study of the proposed ordinance. On motion
further study. of Councilman Stoddard, seconded by Councilman Higbie and carried, a recess was
called for further study of the ordinance.
Mayor Hill called the meeting to order at 3:15 P.M.

by Councilman Bennett. Councilmen Wilder and Bennett then withdrew the above
motion..

Governing Speed X OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE ENTITLED "HARBOR REGULATIONS AND GOVERNING SPEED
of Harbor. REGULATIONS AND RATE OF SPEED."
Adopted, to be put was adopted to be placed in effect at once, on motion of Councilman MacKay,
in effect at once. seconded by Councilman Stoddard and carried by the following roll call vote,
to wit:

AYES, COUNCILMEN: Bennett, Wilder, MacKay, Stoddard, Higbie, Hill.
NOES, COUNCILMEN: None.
ABSENT COUNCILMEN: Ridderhof.
On motion of Councilman Bennett, seconded by Councilman Wilder and carried,
the meeting was adjourned.
