CA 26 Director; presented. a. statement from the residents of
Villa One, Inc., wherein it is. indicated that they are awar
of the, traffic problem and the deed restrictions regarding
access to Dover Drive; read his letter directed to the Divi
of Real Estate, regarding the problem of traffic circulation
indicating, that the question has. been. solved to the, satis-
faction .of.the Public Works Department; and. read a. state -
ment, ( required by the Division of Real Estate) from the
Assistant Public Works Director,. with regard to flood. con
trol,, sewage disposal and.water supply, indicating that the
City of Newport Beach serves. the area.involved. Refer-
ence was -made to previous Council. action. and to the memo
randum to the City Council from the City Attorney, dated
January 5, 1962, all of which exhibits. are to be. apart, of
the official. records of.the City. The City Manager. stated
that the- matter has.been. completed insofar asahe staff is
concerned and in accordance. with the action of the City
Council taken on January 8. The report of the City Mana-
ger was. accepted.
Newman The. request of Robert E. Newman for a curb, cut. on Dover
curb cut
CA 26 Drive. was. denied.because.of deed restrictions against it;
the City Manager was instructed to so advise Mr. Newman
and.it was.agreed.,that access. at, this. location was. not ad-
visable.
R 5539 (Agenda Item 2) Resolution No. 5539, fixing, the. salary of
Cty Clk the City Clerk at $8190 per fiscal year was adopted.

Election Election to be held April 10, 1962, it was directed that
Officers Precinct Officers be paid as.follows: Inspectors, $21. 00,
Compens. Judges. and Clerks, $18.00; and that $10.00 be paid for

Platt The -City Attorney stated.that hehad.received.an offer fron
Eminent Courtney C. Platt to accept $225 as full compensation. for
