A letter was presented from Chancellor Daniel G. Aldrich, Jr, of the University of California. - Irvine, requesting that.the City take. steps to effect traffic signalization at the juncture of Palisades Road, San Joaquin Road and MacArthur Boulevard. The City Manager was instructed to advise Chancellor Aldrich.that. the intersection.to whicl Motion x reference was made, is not within the City of Newport All Ayes Beach, and it was directed that the Chancellor also be in- formed that a study is being made regarding priorities for all intersections. 2. A letter was ordered filed from Mrs. Donald Fullerton, Motion x protesting the adoption of any ordinance prohibiting the All Ayes exercising,of dogs throughout the beach area, stating that "Clean beaches are.fine playgrounds for children and should be so protected, but.it is also part of our America es tradition that children should have pets.
