July 29, 1963 was presented from the SakiokEpity Attorney regarding a Summons and Complaint served prop. on the City Clerk on July. 26, 1963, Huntington Beach' School District,. plaintiff, v. Roy E. Sakioka, et al., defendants, CA -169 Superior 'Court No. 115016, being,au action.in eminent do- main by the Huntington Beach, School District to take certain property, for a school site. The City Attorney was author - ized and directed to appear in the Superior Court action en- Motion x titled Huntington Beach School District v. Roy K. A discussion was. had regarding the'County Dock meeting to Dock be held on August 5, Prop, Councilman Stoddard reported on the Pacific Electric Com- mittee mittee meeting relative to the sale of.a forty, foot strip of ept City owned property, on the west side of Newport Boulevard CA,-38 between 26th and 28th Streets. Commissioner, spoke from the audience regarding the need fora traffic signal at Pacific Coast Highway. and Orange CA -166 Street. Sewer replacement projects were discussed. A dis cussion:.was had regarding.Water'Fund contribution to sewer replacements, . Sewer replacement, street, lighting, harbor, and miscellaneous projects were discussed. Fire Chief R. J. Parks, Beaches and Recreation Director Calvin Stewart and E. F. Hirth, Chairman of the yro ,arks, Beaches and Recreation_ Commission, spoke from the audience. -I6 Tentative approval was.given to a number of the proposed Capital Improvement items, and the Council continued the hearing until more specific figures are available. on surplus funds.
