Mayor Gruber stated he had received a letter from W. A.
Coleman, and requested the City Clerk to read the letter.
The City Clerk read the letter which stated, "I want to
contribute to the legal fund to support the City's fine fight
against the freeway encroachment." A twenty dollar check
was enclosed.
It was directed that the matter be turned over to the Acting
City Manager, with the suggestion that he confer with the
Finance Director as to how to set up a proper fund, and to

make recommendations to the Council.

The Council reconvened with all members present.
Resolution No. 6108 appointing Harvey Leslie Hurlburt as
City Manager at the salary of $18, 500 per fiscal year,
