Minutes of ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUN
Date of Meeting: June 18, 1968

Roll Call:
Mayor Marshall opened the continued public hearing in
connection with the Preliminary Annual Budget for the
Fiscal Year 1968 -69.
Mayor Marshall inquired if anyone present desired to be
heard. No one spoke from the audience at that time.
1. The Marine Safety Department Budget, Activity No
2800, as proposed, was tentatively approved.
2. The Building Department Budget, Activity No. 2900,
as amended, was tentatively approved.
3. The Public Works - Administrative and Engineering
Budget, Activity No. 3000, as proposed, was
tentatively approved.
4. The Public. Works - Electrical Budget, Activity No.
3200, as proposed, was tentatively approved.
5. The Public Works - Sewers Budget, Activity No.
5500, was considered.
Don Elder, representing the Balboa Peninsula Point
Association, spoke from the audience in favor of
retaining the present policy of contracting for the
City's sewer main replacement projects.
The Public Works - Sewers Budget, Activity No
5500, as proposed, was tentatively approved.
6. The Public Works - Traffic and Parking Budget,
Activity No. 5600, as proposed, was tentatively
approved.
7. The Libraries Budget, Activity No. 7000, as pro-
posed, was tentatively approved, with the provision
that the City Manager's recommended cut of $7, 500
in Object 33 - Special Departmental Supplies be put
on the list of desirable additions to the Budget.
