1. A memorandum was presented from the City Attorney
regarding amendment to Ordinance No. 1272 relating
to administrative fees and zoning applications.
Ordinance No. 1272 was amended by adding Sections

CURRENT BUSINESS:
1. The Civic Center Site Selection Study was considered.

Mayor Marshall reviewed the development of the site
Civic
selection studies to date and introduced the consultants
Center
from Welton Becket and Associates and from Eco-
nomics Research Associates.
McDonald Becket, Senior Vice President of Welton
Becket and Associates, spoke briefly and turned the
presentation over to Marvin Taff, Project Designer,
who presented a comparison study between Site "A"
(present City Hall location) and Site "C" in Corona
del Mar.
Dr. Tom Ashley, Senior Project Economist of Eco-
nomics Research Associates, presented the financial

and economic aspects of the study.
A public discussion was held with questions from the

audience which were answered by the consultants.

Councilman Rogers stated that the Civic Center Site
Selection Committee and the Citizens Advisory Com-
mittee favored Site "C".
RECESS for five minutes was declaredbyMayor Marshall.
The Council reconvened with all members present.
