Mayor Marshall stated that the purpose of holding the
adjourned meeting was to receive the preliminary report
frgm Economics Research Associates on the evaluation of
the Newport Center for Orange County Municipal Court
facilities.
William S. Lund, Executive Vice President of Economics
Research Associates, presented a draft of the proposed
proposal to the Orange County Board of Supervisors
setting forth the advantages of the Newport Center site for
the Harbor Judicial District Courts, and summarized to
the Council their findings to date.

A question and answer period followed.
Mr. Lund gave a brief presentation of the advantages and
disadvantages to the City of Newport Beach in having the
County Court building become part of its civic center.
It was the consensus of the Council members present that
both the presentation regarding the advantages and dis-
advantages to the City in having the County Courthouse
located in conjunction with the Civic Center and the pre-
pared presentation for the County be refined and submitted
to Council for its consideration at the meeting of December
23 and that the matter be on the afternoon Study Session
for further discussion.
Mayor Marshall declared the meeting adjourned at 9:10
P. M.
