After staff report by Public Works Director, the following General Fund Projects were discussed: (a) Harbor Projects were tentatively approved. Assistant City Manager Jim DeChaine gave a report in connection with the lease of office space at 414 32nd Street, stating that central air con- ditioning can be furnished for $3, 600, one -half to be borne by the City, and that window coverings could be purchased for $550. Council questioned these items as well as other • items of draperies and carpeting in the Capital Improvement Projects. Council was assured by staff that all item's of this type would be placed in the proper M & O Budget. The Park and Recreation Fund was considered. Parks, Beaches and Recreation Director Cal Stewart presented staff report. Councilman Rogers moved tentative approval of the Park and Recreation Fund. Vice Mayor Parsons suggested that the Parks, Beaches and Recreation Commission take a look at Buck Gully with an eye to improvement. A vote was taken on Councilman Rogers' motion, which motion carried. 3. The Capital Improvement Fund was considered. Public Works Director Joe Devlin gave a staff report. The Capital Improvement Fund was tentatively ap- proved. 4. The Water Fund was considered. Public Works Director Joe Devlin gave a staff report. The Water Fund was tentatively approved. 5. State Gas Tax Funds were considered. Public Works Director Joe Devlin gave a staff report. (a) Section 2106 Funds were tentatively approved (b) Section 2107 Funds were tentatively approved 6. The Building Excise Tax Fund was considered and tentatively approved. Councilman Rogers stated that he would be unable to attend the meeting scheduled for Saturday, May 24.
