Mayor Hirth opened the /pu9licTearing in connection with Budget
the proposed annual Budget as prepared by the City
Manager for the fiscal year 1970 -71.
John Weller, Roland Landregen and Sam Downing were in
the audience and participated in the Budget discussions.
Capital Improvements were reviewed.
Administrative Assistant Phil Bettencourt gave a staff
report on animal control fees and services.
Proposed adjustments to the Library Budget, as submitted
by the Board of Library Trustees, were considered and
tentative approval was given.
Possible revenue increases were considered, and tenta-
tive approval was given to sewer connection administrati
fees, recreation parking meter increase, animal regu-
lagion fees and business license tax.
It was the consensus of the Council that the City Manager
should instruct all department heads to come back with
proposals of 2Z -3% reduction in their operating budgets.
The hearing was continued to 7:30 P.M., June 22, 1970.
The meeting was adjourned at 9:50 P.M.
