HomeMy WebLinkAbout22 - Amending the Zoning Code to Rename the Multiple Residential Detached (RM -D) and Include a Reference to Allow for Attached Units (PA2019-065) - Public HearingPUBLIC NOTICE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING ISSUANCE OF MULTIFAMILY HOUSING REVENUE BONDS NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that, at its regular meeting to be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 11, 2019, at the City Council Chambers of the City of Newport Beach, California (the "City") located at 100 Civic Center Drive, Newport Beach, California 92660, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach will conduct a public hearing as required by Section 147(f) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended, at which it will hear and consider information concerning the issuance by the California Statewide Communities Development Authority (the "Authority") of multifamily housing revenue bonds (the "Bonds"). The proceeds from the sale of the Bonds, if issued, are intended to be used to finance the acquisition and construction of a 99 -unit senior living multifamily rental housing project to be known as "Harbor Pointe Senior Living" (the "Project"). The Project is located at 101 Bayview Place in the City. The Bonds (if any are issued) will be issued irl an aggregate principal amount not to exceed $75,000,000. The Bonds may be issued in one or more series. The Bonds will not constitute a debt or obligation of the Authority, the City of Newport Beach, the State of California, or any other public body, or to be in any way payable from taxes or other public funds. If the Bonds are issued, by law, at least 20 percent of the rental units in the Project are required to be available for occupancy by very low-income tenants at affordable rents. The Project is being developed and will be owned and/or operated by Harbor Pointe Senior Living, LLC, a California limited liability company (the "Borrower"), or an affiliate thereof. ALL PERSONS HAVING ANY INFORMATION RELEVANT TO THE PROPOSED ISSUANCE OF THE BONDS DESCRIBED ABOVE ARE HEREBY INVITED TO APPEAR AT THE TIME AND PLACE MENTIONED ABOVE TO PRESENT SUCH INFORMATION TO THE CITY COUNCIL.
