SUBJECT: WASTE DISPOSAL AGREEMENT
RECOMMENDATION
The City Council approve the Waste Disposal Agreement between the City and
the County of Orange and authorize the Mayor to execute on behalf of the City.
DISCUSSION
At the City Council meeting of February 24th, the City Council Members
received a staff report, a copy of the Waste Disposal Agreement and an
Executive Summary of the key business terms and conditions. This staff report
is attached for your reference and use in formally considering the adoption of
the Waste Disposal Agreement. As of this writing, twelve cities have approved
the Agreement, two cities will be acting later this week and five cities will
consider the Agreement next week. Attached is a schedule identifying the cities
that have acted to approve the Agreement and the tonnage amounts associated
with those cities.
Based on the discussion in the February 24th staff report, staff is recommending
Council approval of the Waste Disposal Agreement between the City and
County of Orange.
