Request for Waiver of City Council Policy B-13

This item was a request from Newport Beach Wine and Food Festival (NBWFF) to waive
Council Policy B-13 to allow alcoholic beverages to be permitted at Peninsula Park for the
NBWFF. Balboa Village Merchant Association has expressed concerns about the event
impact and its location.
RECOMMENDATION:
Continue the item to a future meeting in 2020 if concerns have been resolved.
DISCUSSION:
Due to concerns expressed form the Balboa Village Merchant Association, staff is requesting
the City Council continue this item to allow the Wine and Food Festival operator and staff to
address related concerns.
