Subject: Newport Beach Wine and Food Festival
Dear City Council -
I am writing on behalf of the Balboa Village Merchant Association in regards to the Newport Beach Wine and Food
Festival. We are very excited that Balboa is being considered for this year's Grand Tasting and are excited for the
merchant association and various businesses to participate.
Stefanie and her team have met with our board and discussed timing and logistics and we all believe we have come up
with an event time that will minimize the impact to the regular activities that happen in regards to Balboa Village. We
have also discussed the event at our two last monthly meetings and plan to continue our outreach as the event plan
unfolds.
An event of this size will not only bring visitors for just that weekend, but offers Balboa Village many opportunities in the
future. Balboa Village will be highlighted in many PR and marketing initiatives, while bringing down many individuals
who might have forgotten we exist or maybe never even knew.
We hope you approve this item, so Stefanie and her team can continue planning.
