QUALIFICATIONS
• Seeking a Housing Developer to determine potential sites in
Newport Beach for PSH
• Successfully developed PSH projects
• Experienced working with the community
• Ability to assemble the necessary financing
• Up to 50 units — dependent on proposals from developers
• RFQ can specify type of PSH desired: Seniors, Veterans,
Families
• City's Financial Contribution to the Project
• Attracts developers, shows City's commitment
• Potential Funding Sources: Affordable Housing Fund, Hoag Contribution,
General Fund Surplus

REQUESTED ACTION
• Authorize staff to prepare and release an RFQ for
a Permanent Supportive Housing Developer
• Determine PSH Project Focus
• Determine the City's Financial Commitment to the
Project
• At the end of the RFQ process staff will return to
City Council with qualified developers - this
action does not approve a project at this time
