Subj: License Agreement for Geobase System Software ZEabd
The Building, Planning, Fire, Finance, Public Works, Parks, and
Utilities departments need and use a variety of records, files,
plans (advanced, current, and past), building permits,
encroachment permits, atlases, business licenses, and utility
locations. The City -wide Geobase information system will combine
these in easily accessible and relevant formats to assist the
staff of these departments in the performance of their tasks.
This system utilizes Deltasystems' software, which will process
both textual and pictorial data. The software will provide
access to the City's land use data, including parcel boundaries,
street locations, utility data, building permits, and other
geographically based information. It will also allow for
integration with other appropriate data files.
The staff recommends the City Council to &�bhorize the Mayor and
City Clerk to execute- -=we'— software license agreement with
Deltasystems for the acquisition of the computer software that
will be financed through Hewlett- Packard Company.
