Mr. Porter's practice is located in Newport Beach. Current projects include the renovation of the Balboa Theater, Cove Motoring Showroom, Griffin Linton Fine Art Gallery, as well as a number of private residences. Prior to his current office, Mr. Porter served as City Planner in San Juan Capistrano. Included in the highlights of hls tenure with the City was the organization and management of the San Juan Capistrano Public Library Competition. The firm has extensive experience in both public and private sectors. An active business and conununity leader, Rodheim has a long record of involvement in Orange County. He is a current board member and iurunediate past president of the Balboa Island Improvement Association, a board member of the Discovery Science Center, STOP -GAP, and on the nominating committee of the United Way of Orange County. Additionally, Rodheiun is the vice president of die Association of Corporate Growth. Previously, he was appointed by Governor Deukmajian as chairman of the California State Boating and Waterways Commission. He also served as president of the Newport Harbor Area Chamber of Commerce, chairman of the Economic Development Conference for the Orange County World Trade Center, and a member of the Orange County office of Protocol, as well as serving as a member of its business council. Additionally, he was the charter vice president of the Irvine Chamber of Cotninerce. A Newport Beach area native, Rodheim holds a Bachelor of Science in psychology from Chapman University and a Masters in Administration from Pepperdine University. He currently lives on Balboa Island with his wife, Peiuly.
