Reports from the Fire, Police, Public Works and Planning Departments were considered. No public hear- ing was held: The Request The original request-from the Association was to change the name . of only that portion of Rudder Road between Harbor Island.Road and the bend in Rudder Road. For this reason additional signatures of the residents were sought along the balance of Rudder Road: The Planning.Commis- sion file contains signatures of all but three residents of Rudder Road consenting to the change. The purpose of the change,.in the, applicant's words, is for better identification of the community, and to aid guests and tradespeople in finding the development.
