The City Negotiating Team has reached an agreement with the Newport Beach Ocean
Lifeguard Association. The agreement can be summarized as follows:
1. Total compensation increase: 9.08
2. The City and NBOIA agreed that on or about October 1, 1984,
to reopen the contract for the purpose of meeting and oon-
ferring on the issue of providing a Retiree Health Insurance
Plan. The parties agreed to limit the reopener to this item
and to those items which may be affected should agneenent be
reached.
In accordance wii-h the City Council's direction, it is recommended that the attached
Memorandum of Understanding for Fiscal Year 84/85 be approved effective June 23, 1984.
